I know this topic belong somewhere else but it doesn’t work.(Moved)
I am new to rhinopiping and programming etc.
I wan’t to use other sizes than te standard NPS or DN sizes in Rhino piping. Is dat possible?
An example: I want to add pipes with ID 10,12, 16,19,25,28,30 and OD 16,18,22,26,33,36,40 with a weight of 0.16,0.18,0.23,0.32,0.53,0.57,0.6 kg/m what is the best way to do this?
Is also possible to specify a maximimum bending radius per diameter?

You can create custom pipe/elbows classes matching your needs. In your case, I would create several pipe classes with their associated elbow classes.
For example, you could create:
*a class SteelSmallDN associated with some curvature factor elbows classes (For exemple: 1.4D, 2D)
*a class SteelBigDN associated with other curvature elbow classes (For exemple: 1D, 1.4D, 2D, 3D)
Here is a tutorial to create custom pipe classes, or add diameters to your pipe classes: #CreatingPipeClass
Every diameters in your pipe class must exist in RhinoPiping diameters list:#AddingNominalDiameter
As for elbows, here is the tutorial to create/modify them: #CreatingElbowClass

Yesterday I posted something(see link) but can’t reply on it anymore. Post Link: http://forum.rhinopiping.com/Support/topic/deviate-from-standard-nps-and-dn-sizes/#post-2282217
I placed it under the wrong topic beacause it is not possible to add a topic under Rhino piping. So now again unde the wrong topic.
I am not a scripter, I tried but it is to complicated for me.
Could you create a XML file which is connected to a csv file, so I only need to fill in the CSV file?
I would like a XML file with class SEALEVEL. with a pipe-class: Hoses and a pipe-class: Pipes, So i only have to fill in the outerdiameter(mm), thickness(mm) and weight(kg/m)in the CSV file. It should not be connected to A DN or NPS value.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I don’t know why you can’t reply on the original I checked its status and it’s open. (I will move this thread when you question is answered)
As for how RhinoPiping works, a DN or NPS reference is mandatory, it has no actual link with the physical diameter’s value. For example, your pipe classe might contain a DN50 reference, with an outside diameter of 55.1 and a thickness of 2mm. This is used to have an equivalence between the DN (mm) and NPS (inches) systems. More details here.
As for the example, please find here the catalog files customized, you just have to change the values in the two CSV.
To use it:
*Extract pipe.zip to C:\ProgramData\Navinn\catalogs\pipe (overwrite the existing files)
*Extract elbow.zip to C:\ProgramData\Navinn\catalogs\elbow (overwrite the existing file)
*Edit the values in the CSV (C:\ProgramData\Navinn\catalogs\pipe\SEALEVEL). The csv must be saved with UTF8 formatting (an option if you use “save as” in most editors)
*Restart Rhino and enjoy

Thank you for your help and the custom file.
Unfortunatly I get an error. In the wetransfer link you will find the complete catalog map which is on my pc. Also a printscreen of the error is in it.
Can you have a look at it?
Thanking you in advance again!
PS: I can not react on topic “custom file for piping”.
